Therm Technology has also been developing its 110 - Volt space heater business. It has just introduced a complete new line of "Hearth Warmer" heaters. These heaters are the only 110-Volt space heaters with real OAK AND CHERRY hand built cabinets. They are absolutely beautiful, but in addition they contain one of the most efficient heat cells in the market today.
In August of 1996 Therm Technology acquired Family Safety Products, Inc. from Vista 2000. Family Safety Products brought to the business a state of the art electronic "surface mount" manufacturing facility and a unique line of Hazardous Gas Detectors. The unique line of gas detectors includes three proprietary units: the "Digi-Trak" Carbon Monoxide Detector, the 3 in 1 Combination Carbon Monoxide/Natural Gas/Liquid Propane Gas detector - all in one unit, and the first ever Electronic Radon Gas Monitor. Family Safety also had several other products that were a natural fit for the Automotive Aftermarket business. Family Safety had also developed the Professional side of the Hazardous Gas Detector market specializing in selling to the Utilities, the U.S. military, and the HVAC installation professionals.
Family Safety Products' electronic manufacturing facility in Alabama also does a substantial amount of OEM electronic assembly for many other prestigious U.S. and International companies.
Both Therm Technology and Family Safety Products have earned, over the past years, a reputation for producing high quality and innovative products. We currently have a total of 9 proprietary (patented) products in our line up. We are proud to be an U.S. manufacturing company employing U.S. workers. We have two full time manufacturing facilities one located in Alabaster, Alabama and the other is located along with the corporate headquarters in Grandville, Michigan.
